In Seville, Onofre, on the advice of Corporal Jiménez, directs his investigation towards Don Joaquín, director of the Paradas Savings Bank and learns of the Marquis' irregular investments. He meets Chelo again and coincides with the Marquis' mother-in-law, obtaining new data for the investigation. In 1975 the Marquis, Don Alberto and Curro went to meet Picazo to dissuade him and make him see reason. He does not rise up and a spiral of violence is set in motion in which five people will die.
