He is known for his work as an Executive Producer on the Emmy Award winning documentary Miles Davis: Birth of the Cool (2019), 'Round Miles: A Miles Davis Documentary (2021) and Miles Ahead (2015). Wilburn is a drummer who worked with Miles intermittently from 1980 to 1986; he now co-manages Miles' estate and continuing business.
